1. What’s the biggest change from hosting “Never Ever Do This At Home” to “TMI”?

I suppose the most obvious difference is I wasn’t running from explosions all day on the Never Ever set but the biggest difference would be shooting outdoors on location as opposed to shooting in a studio with a live audience. If something went wrong or there was a mistake on the set of Never Ever the only people who saw it were the producers, director and crew. On Too Much Information, we had a live audience there to witness the whole process. I come from a live performance background so I’m used to the crowd but having to do re-takes and get different angles in front of a live crowd was definitely was something I had to get used to.

2. How do you feel TMI will be different from other live comedy shows?
Well, firstly, TMI is the first full on panel style comedy show in Canada but I really think what sets the show apart from other comedy shows is the variety of performers. Not only do we have some of the best stand-up in the country we also have the best sketch performers, improvisers and actors the country has to offer. It’s a really unique experience having over 30 types of performers interacting with each other in a no holds barred joke fest.

3. What’s one thing you want to tell the viewers about the show?
It’s a lot of fun. No topic is off-limits. I guess that’s two things but whatever. Each episode follows a theme and we get a lot of true life stories from our panel that will have your jaw drop to the floor. I think when you see my reaction to a lot that goes on you’ll get a sense of how spontaneous and ridiculous it was making the show. We had a lot of fun making it so I hope that comes through.

4. Any advice for future comedians?
Oh man, this is always a tough question because everyone’s path is so different. I’ve been doing this for about 10 years now and I would have never imagined all the different things I’ve been able to do. Being able to host a show like this was always a dream of mine but early on in my career I didn’t believe it was an option. Doing the show on Discovery was also something I would have never seen myself doing 10 years ago.  I think the simplest and best advice I could give is, don’t stop and say yes. You never know what’s around the corner. Every opportunity could be something that changes your life. I guess that’s two things but whatever.

Too Much Information debuts on the Super Channel on Tuesday, November 18 at 11 p.m. ET.
