Halloween Nights of Lights & Pumpkinville opens at CF Sherway Gardens from September 30 to October 31, 2022

Halloween Nights of Lights & Pumpkinville opens at CF Sherway Gardens this past weekend with more than 1.5 million LED and RGB lights and featuring over 30,000 pumpkins

Halloween is about four weeks away, which means Halloween Nights of Lights & Pumpkinville makes its return running from Sept 30 to October 31, 2022 at CF Sherway Gardens, but this time with an immersive walk-through experience for the 2022 season. Bigger and better, this year’s experience will feature more than 1.5 million LED and RGB lights animated and synchronized to your favourite Halloween tunes.

We had the opportunity to attend opening weekend, and here is a first look and review on what we thought.

The experience itself takes about an hour to walk through, depending on how many times you stop to take photos. Nights of Lights is filled with beautiful photo opportunities and lots of fun for the kids.

There was one part of the experience “The Big Top” which I do not recommend for kids, as it was a bit too spooky for children. I enjoyed the experience as an adult, and there is an option to bypass the clowns, if you do not want to take your children in.

As we kept weaving in, the experience got better and better. There were a few installations from previous years, but a lot of new ones that we never got to see. As four adults walking through, there wasn’t anything too spectacular, but depending on who you go with, the experience can be as fun or as boring as you want it to be. The music and lights had us jumping through joy the whole way through and snapping some great photos.

Our favorite part was PumpkinVille. The reason being is because we were able to see the work that was put into the pumpkins and displays. There was even a unique pumpkin smashing experience for only $8 (large pumpkin) or $5 (small-medium) more. I have never seen a pumpkin smashing field, so I thought that was a very unique experience.

There were about 4 rides, which I found were geared more towards kids. We were able to go on the carousel and teacup for about 2 ride tickets each, and still had an enjoyable experience. I felt like a kid again. There is even a face painter on site for kids to enjoy

There was also a balloon dart, like the CNE to win prizes. It was a bit overpriced , $10 for 3 darts, and $20 for 7 darts, but it’s all about the experience. I love a good old dart game, and I even got a mini elephant from it. (They do accept interac)

They have The Mills BBQ as well on site ranging from $13.99- $79.99 and Corn, Iced Tea and Roasted Yams on site. I believe the corn is about $5 each. There is also a nice tented seating area to enjoy. If you even want to have a drink , they have some FIZZ ($8) Spiked Cider ($8) or Beer ($9) on site.

There is also a potty washroom and ATM on site. The event has time slots every hour and tickets can be purchased on site.
