This year, the World MasterCard fashion week was held in Toronto at the David Pecaut Square. The event took place from October 19th to October 23rd , 2015. We attended two out of the five days, and were able to spectate Finezza, Narces, Malorie Urbanovitch & Hong Kiyoung.

Finezza, a menswear line, walked the runway on Wednesday October 21st at 4:00pm. It presented a sophisticated wardrobe, varying from tailored tuxedos, to casual French wear that could be seen on the streets of Europe. Finezza line included a lot of stripes, rolled up leg pants, and shoulder draped sweaters making it a very appealing and classy show. The show ended with models walking out with sailor hats, striped t-shirts and shorts while holding paddles.

Also, Narces debuted their 2016 spring collection on October 21st at 7:00pm. The show began with knee length dresses with meshing and flowering – Nacres’ signature for this line was the addition of flowers, which allow the dresses to come more to life. As the show progressed, the lengths of the dresses did as well. Nikki Wirthensohn Yassemi, the creator and designer, was very versatile in colour, length and fabric when it came to showcasing her work. The show ended with Narces showcasing their flowy and captivating bridal dresses, and long veils.

On Thursday October 22nd, we attended the Malorie Urbanovitch show at 6:00pm. Unlike the other shows, the event took place in a studio, which allowed the stage to be designed in a maze-like manner as opposed to a straight runway. Malories line included simple, yet unique silk dresses. The colours were ranging in dark and neutral colours.

The last show we attended was Hong Kiyoung’s, at 9:00pm of October 22nd. This show had a, “Psycho Deliver Man,& theme. The line showcased dark and rugged clothing, many of which included zippers and a lot of leather. Kiyoungs approach to making some of the clothes ripped and in different lengths really gave it that psycho effect, which worked well with the theme.
