#INTERVIEW Vans Warped Tour presents PVRIS

PVRIS

PVRIS has been all over the world. Playing with bands like Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce the Veil, and Mayday Parade they have sure made a name for themselves. With catchy tunes and unforgettable lyrics this band is one to look out for! On July 15 at the Darien Lake date of the 2015 Warped Tour, I had the pleasure of chatting with Lynn Gunn (Lead Singer) Of PVRIS. Read what she has to say about Canadian fans, and being on tour.

How has Warped Tour been going for you guys?
Very hot and hectic, but really awesome. Today it’s cool outside

Many bands mention that they have prepared for Warped Tour. So did PVRIS prepare for Warped?
You can’t really prepare, you kind of just get thrown into it. Just bring a bunch of clean underwear and sunscreen

Our readers love finding out about new music, with that being said why should they listen to PVRIS?
I could just be a wise-ass and tell them to listen and to find out for themselves but… I don’t know I think we are doing something cool and different and hopefully they like it.
(Pause)
I’m not a cocky person so it’s kinda hard to answer that (Laughs)

Now with that being said how would you say your sound is different?
It is very dynamic, dark and moody and um pretty raw.

Warped Tour has been going on for a few weeks now. How have the crowds been thus far?
It’s been awesome. We originally started out playing on the journey’s stage and we kept getting bumped up, all the way up to main stage. It’s been pretty crazy

PVRIS has been around the world, what are the major differences you’ve seen in different countries or cities?
It’s weird, like even fans from different states have different reactions and some have a total different atmosphere and I don’t know why, because even in the states for example there is Massachusetts and New York there is a completely different vibe.

We are from Canada now how would you say Canadian crowds differ?
Oh yeah! Canada actually goes really hard! I feel like everywhere that is not the states is a little bit more appreciative I guess

How does PVRIS go The Xtra Mile?
We try and go the extra mile in every aspect of our music. Writing wise we don’t want to restrict our selves and then visually we are very esthetic based and photo based, so we deffinately go the extra mile visually a lot.

Are there any last words you would like to tell our readers?
We have our record out called “White Noise”, check it out if you want to and thanks for checking it out if you do.

Check out their new music video for Fire” below!
