Radiodays Europe, renowned as a premier conference for radio and audio broadcasting on a global scale, is set to make its mark in North America through an exciting collaboration with the widely acclaimed Canadian Music Week conference. Introducing RADIODAYS NORTH AMERICA, this exceptional event will grace the vibrant city of Toronto, which took place on June 8th and 9th at the stunning Harbour Castle Westin Hotel, nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Ontario.

During the Radiodays North America event, the late Patrick Grierson, the esteemed founder of Canadian Broadcast Sales (CBS), has been honored as the distinguished recipient of the inaugural Allan Slaight Radio Salesperson of the Year Award. Grierson was posthumously recognized at the highly anticipated Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame Awards Luncheon. Having left a remarkable legacy in the field of radio advertising spanning four decades, Grierson began his illustrious career with Standard Broadcasting in the 1970s and eventually retired in 2017 as the esteemed leader of Canada’s largest national radio sales organization.

Some other recipients to be honored at the Radiodays North America event were Wayne Webster, a seasoned Toronto music director who has dedicated the past 13 years of his career to Stingray’s boom 97.3 (CHBM-FM) Toronto, has been granted the prestigious Allan Waters Hall of Fame accolade this year.

In another notable announcement, Jenny West, the talented afternoon drive co-host on Pattison Media’s The Zone @ 91.3 Victoria, was proudly crowned the recipient of this year’s Allan Waters Young Broadcaster of the Year award, a distinguished honor presented in memory of the esteemed Steve Young.
