The storm can’t stop Boots & Hearts Festival

Rain or shine! Nothing was stopping thousands of fans from attending Boots & Hearts at Burl’s Creek. The four day event consisted of major headliners including Keith Urban, Brantley Gilbert and Luke Bryan.
On the Friday night, the whole event almost got cancelled due to weather warnings. The festival evacuated 30,000 people, but it went as smoothly as possible. Two hours later the stage reopened and Keith Urban was able to still perform. He went on a bit later than normal time, and Dan & Shay ended up playing at midnight rather than their original 7:30p.m. scheduled time. There were smiles around country fans even after the storm!
Day two of the festival, Chad Brownlee, Eli Young band, and headliner Brantley Gilbert performed. Thanks to vendors such as Jack Daniels, Palm Bay and Seagram, festival goers were able to keep hydrated all day from the free samples! There were lots of things to check out and places to keep cool if you needed a break from the sun. Artist Mercy, Virtual Reality, Monster Stage, and new to this year guests were able to go on the Silverado stage and take a picture with the luxurious blue Chevrolet truck.
We returned on Sunday to check out the remaining acts for the final day. The country vibe was spreading like wildfire all around. Country goers were still smiling with beers in hands all around the festival grounds. The first act we caught was Canadian country rock group Cold Creek County down at the main stage. The boys had huge support from the crowd being Canadian and all. They performed their hit singles such as “This Town” and “Till the wheels come off”.
The next act we caught was Canadian country pop singer Jess Moskaluke over at the Front Porch Stage. She had a great crowd and had the crowd singing along to a few covers she did. She gave a shoutout to all the 90’s babies while covering “No Scrubs” by TLC. With a voice as distinctive as
Moskaluke’s, it was hard to not be pulled into the stage.

Back over at the main stage, we caught Brett Eldredge. This was Eldredge’s first time performing at the festival and he definitely won the likes of the crowd.  The American songwriter had the whole crowd dancing up on their feet to his singles such as “Somethin’ I’m Good At” and “No Stopping You”. He performed most of his tracks from his self titled album Brett Eldredge.

The final act of the night was none other than country mega star Luke Bryan. The grounds were filled at this point and everyone was in the crowd waiting to see Bryan. He brought his guitar and played a two hour set of all his hit singles such as “That’s My Kind of Night” ,”Crash my Party” and he even took things slow by jumping on the piano to perform “Play it Again”. The whole crowd had their phones in the air and it was a magical moment over at Boots. Bryan also pleased the crowd with his amazing dance moves, he really knows how to shake those hips. He closed the night with his biggest single “Country Girl” and had all 38,000+ people sing a long to the catchy tune. The night ended with a beautiful display of fireworks getting the crowd ready for the end of the night dance party in the barn.  Boots proved to be the festival of the summer once again!

Thanks Republic Live! We can’t wait for Boots & Hearts 2018!
