The Pizza Underground rock out at the Atomic Lollipop Convention
Who doesn’t love the classic movie Home Alone and free Pizza? Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin, returned to Toronto with his New York based band The Pizza Underground to preform a special set at the Atomic Lollipop convention which happened this past weekend.
Atomic Lollipop has been active for 2 years in a row at the Ontario Science Centre, where magic and mayhem come together. The weekend consisted of celebrity guests, vendors, cosplay, pop culture panels, geeky speed-dating, video gaming, and a lot more interactive events. It allows geeks, and anime lovers get together for a weekend of DJing workshops, hands on craft lessons, and even aerial acrobatics.
On Friday, Culkin’s comedy rock band The Pizza Underground opened the event by handing out free pizza pizza to all guests and playing parody songs from the original band The Velvet Underground. The band managed to keep the audience entertained and smiling throughout the whole set, and they even threw some pizza boxes at the fans for keepsake.
