Nikki’s Wives host first listening party for new EP Motor Court
Toronto-based band Nikki’s Wives returned home to celebrate the release of their EP “Motorcourt” at the Rivoli on August 10.
The band hosted their first-ever Media & industry VIP party hosted by Canadian radio broadcaster Alan Cross. They have also teamed up with Dave Monks of Tokyo Police Club as guest DJ. The event is produced by Japeth May (A-Minor Presents) and promoted by : Exclaim! & 102.1 The Edge
“Shit, we just came back from Nashville after six months, does Canada even remember we exist?” said Nikki, lead singer.
Canada certainly does.
The three-piece band made up of Nikki, Nate (drummer) and Dylan (guitarist), sold out the Rivoli, a venue that fits more than 200 people.
As Alan Cross said at the beginning of their concert, This will not be the last time you hear of Nikki’s Wives. The band performed all of their singles live during the party.
Nikki’s Wives, who identify themselves as “in-demand creatives who freely bend genre barriers”, are making their mark in the music industry.
