Ever After Festival takes over Kitchener
We aren’t quite sure what it is when it comes to Canada, but our festivals seems to love the storms. Last weekend, thousands of electronic music fans took over Bingeman’s Fairgrounds in Kitchener for the Ever After Music Festival despite the horrible weather. For the second year, Ever After Music Festival started the summer with a bang. This fantasy getaway experience isn’t just about the music, but also theatrical performers, theme inspired dancers, art stage productions and a waterpark was included to enhance the festival experience.
Alongside the festivities, some of the biggest DJs in the world such as Zedd, Adventure Club and Skrillex headlined the three day festival.
We attended on the Sunday, and had the chance to watch Dillon Francis ,Flosstradamus and Zedd perform. A lot of the DJs incorporated Drake’s music to represent the Six.
Just before 9:30pm, the crowd was anxiously waiting for Zedd’s entrance. After a few lasers and lights on stage, Zedd made his grand entrance and opened his set up with “Beautiful Now.” Zedd’s set consisted of an hour and half show of smokes, lights, lazers and even fire. He performed a variety of remixes such as “Rude”, “Rather Be” and performed all his hit singles including “Stay the night” “Break Free” “Clarity” “I want you to know” and even through in a remix of “Bang Bang”. The only disappointment I had was, he didn’t perform “True Colors”, though it might have not flown well with the set list. None the less, and despite the rain, festival goers were very satisfied with the event and this weekend was truly a magical experience for everyone.
