Decadence 2015

With The Guvernment officially closed, the annual ‘Decadence’ show renowned itself at the Direct Energy Centre on April 2, 2015. This year we were presented with  Alesso, NERVO, Will Sparks and Manzone & Strong.

With the enormous line up outside the venue, we missed the first act, but got right in to catch Will Sparks, producer and DJ from Melbourne. The venue began to slowly fill up as Sparks played his hit singles “Here We Go” and “Kerfu.” The crowd went wild for Sparks, and there is no doubt he will become the next big hit. Sparks was named the number one DJ in Australia last year, and headlined festivals such as Tomorrowland, Stereosonic, and Future Music Festival. This was only the beginning for Sparks‘ career.

Nervo9

Straight after their interview with us, NERVO took the stage, and their set was definitely “Irresistible.” Everyone had their eyes set on Liv & Mim’s contagious smile and laughter, but it wasn’t just their amazing stage presence that won the crowd over- It was the amazing powerhouse talent they brought to their set. With over an hour of amazing beats, lights, flames and their hit singles such as “You’re Gonna Love Again,” and their newest hit “It Feels,Liv & Mim literally felt the energy from the crowd.  The crowd went wild like we’ve never seen before, with signage and screaming almost at every corner, there was no better way to prepare for what was about to come next.

A bit after midnight, headliner Alesso blew up the crowd with his latest single “Cool feat. Roy English” and a mix of Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High).” With his new album “Pay Day” available for pre-order April 7th, he played a sneak preview of some of his remixes on the album such as “If I Lose Myself – One Republic Remix” and the crowd favourite “Heroes (We Could Be)  ft. Tove Lo.”  Alesso left the crowd begging for more, and with huge releases in the past year, there is no doubt his debut album will take EDM to a whole new level.
