The first ever Toronto Food & Wine Festival
Formerly known as the Delicious Food show, Toronto Food & Wine showcased the expertise and best culinary talents in Toronto at the Evergreen Brick Works from Sept 18-20. Over the course of the three days, attendees had the chance to enjoy cooking classes, book signings, VIP lounge, tutored tastings, and special events that bring the world of food and wine together. With celebrity chef appearances by Chuck Hughes, Gail Simmons, Tyler Florence, Curtis Stone, and more!
We attended the media preview and had the chance to try some delicious samples! One of our favourites was the Mexican Braised Beef Poutine from Beretta Kitchen made with naturally braised beef, crispy oven baked heirloom potatoes, cheese curds, crispy fried onions and fresh scallions. To go with that, we had some refreshing Ice Tea from Cluck and even some delicious bread from ACE Bakery.
That’s not all. We had the chance to try a secret Double Peanut Butter Ice Cream Bar from Magnum, and we must say it was delicious and mouth watering. Anyone who loves peanut butter, will fall in love with this bar.
Another one of our favourite dishes was the smoked beets on cashew cream from Tori’s Bakeshop. You can’t go wrong with natural and organic.
Also, who doesn’t love chocolate. Green & Black’s was sampling all of their delicious chocolate bars. If you ever have the chance, the Hazelnut & Currant is a must try! All of the dark chocolate had this amazing decadent taste , and we couldn’t stop coming back for more.
With so many different food options to try, we can see why this event is three days long! Make sure you check out their official website to learn more! We’ll see you next year!
