The Bachelor season 20 “The season of the crazies”

On Monday, Jan 5, ABC’s The Bachelor premiered its 20th season, and can we say this season definitely has the craziest contestants.  I think that was probably the most interesting first impression ceremony.

Let’s start off with The Bachelor himself, Ben Higgins. Charming, tall, dark, and handsome. Being 26 makes him probably the youngest Bachelor yet, but, he’s already swooped over the whole nation.

Now the juicy part. Last season was so good in ratings (and my personal favourite season), that the network had to make this season even better by bringing some crazy contestants. We had our fair share of crazy people in the past seasons, but I don’t think anything beats a chicken lover, a dentist who wears a rose hat, TWINS, unicorn head, Russian girl, and a pony. Did I mention Becca Tilley and Amber James Vie from last season are back again for another shot at love?  Let’s talk about some crazy contestants and the ones that are here to stay.

Let’s start with Oliva, who immediately captured Ben’s eyes and heart by winning the first impression rose. Sure she’s cute, with great dimples but it’s too early to say much. I do think Ben has his eyes set on her though, and she’s definitely here to stay judging by the season preview.

We might as well call this season  The “Lace” show. The whole show I felt was focused on Lace, she is the first name I remembered and the only face that kept popping up. Can’t blame the network, this girl is fiesty. First day and already making snarky comments towards other girls and even towards Ben. First one to kiss Ben and then went on to complain later about not enough eye contact after receiving the last rose. Didn’t see much chemistry between her and Ben, but she is definitely worth the drama.

I personally thought Mandi had the most interesting entrance with her flower hat. How creative is that? On top of her weirdness, she kept interrupting Ben all night and even during Lace’s one on one. I literally thought Lace was going to murder her for that. When Mandi gets her one on one, she decides to give him a dental check-up. Very interested to see where this goes.

Haley and Emily Ferguson from Las Vegas. These twins are literally the same people. They finish each other’s sentences, and they seem to be a package deal. I have a strong feeling this might ruin their relationship.

Beautiful girl, but what’s with the unicorn mask. That was not something I expected. Jojo and Ben seemed to hit off right away, and I can totally see her making it to the top 5. She has my vote!

And Finally Lauren B. she’s the perfect Bachelorette, I mean she’s a flight attendant. They can travel the world together. Lauren is an all-around perfect American girl, who is bound to win Ben’s heart. Great chemistry, fun, and gave quite the impression with her long blue princess-like dress. My votes on this girl.
