The 25th anniversary of the 2014 MMVAs

Star power hits Toronto yet again for its 25th anniversary of the 2014 Much Music Video Awards (MMVAs). This year, teenage reality TV stars Kylie and Kendall Jenner co-hosted  the show over at the Much studios on Queen Street west where fans waited in line for hours to see their favorite stars up close.

This year artists’ such as Ariana Grande, Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Ed Sheeran and more performed and rehearsed throughout the weekend. Fans at much got to see and meet the stars at the studios, while other fans encountered other stars (MMVA presenters) arriving through out the city such as Colton Haynes(Arrow, Teen Wolf) , Chloe Moretz(Kick-Ass), Kellan Lutz(Twilight), Jenna Malone(Hunger Games), and Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men).

One of the most discussed topic of the MMVAs red carpet was Kendall Jenner’s floor length Fausto Puglisi white gown dress with high double slits. It was a super risky outfit, and made people wonder if she was wearing underwear? But it definitely kept everyone talking.

As 9 PM rolled in, the MMVAs began to take underway with celebrities scattered around the studios doing press and preparing their speech/performance. There were many winners for the night, Canadian band Hedley were among big winners that took home three trophies. Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez, and Justin Bieber were among other big winners throughout the night.

Finally, we couldn’t leave the MMVAs without saying hello to the co-hosts and some of the presenters! Colton Haynes being ever so sweet had a chat with us on what we can expect in the next season of Arrow and how he hasn’t seen Teen Wolf since he left the show. We also ran into Jeff Timmons, who we had the pleasure of interviewing just a few days before as he discussed with us on his future plans and how much he loves Toronto. At the end of the night, we had a quick chat with Kendall Jenner on how the food they gave her made her tongue blue (she still looks great) and she even talked about the Kylie Cookie that Etalk provided them with.

The Xtra Mile and a few presenters made our way to the official MMVAs after party at the Maison Mercer where we had the likes of encountering Virginia to Vegas, Jedward, and Victoria Duffield. The party consisted of music from 4Korners while on the other side of the city, another official after party hosted by Khloe Kardashian and French Montana took place at Muzik Pool Bar.
