A week full of laughter and fun, Just For Laughs (JFL) presented by Air Canada and Sirius XM returns to Toronto for a full ten-days with 42 different acts. With over 18,000 passes and single tickets sold, the festival increased by almost 70% more than last year.  This year’s headliners consisted of Lena Dunham, Seth Meyers, Nick Offerman, Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes, and Joe Rogan.

With 181 different shows this year, one of the acts we got to check out was Iliza Shlesinger( NBC’s last comic standing and War Paint). She performed at a few different venues this year, with each show being packed and people sharing laughs all around, we got to check out her final show at The Garrison. Shlesinger first comes out and talks about the Canadian bipolar weather and how girls react to the hot and cold. The audience laughs at her witty humour and jokes as she continues to joke about girls that love fall, and the pumpkin spice latte obsession. It’s funny because we know it’s true. She also mentions how girls love being hungry, but ask for small plates. She expresses each line with hilarious facial expressions, and great tone that the audience couldn’t help but laugh the whole way through. Especially, when she makes fun of people who forget where they park their cars, which again is true.

The festival wrapped up with Joe Rogan and Wanda Sykes closing the show at the Sony Centre. Once again, the festival is another huge success and growing each year, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store next year!
