#INTERVIEW Italia Ricci supports Robbie Amell at ‘The DUFF’ Toronto Premiere

Supporting her fiancé  Robbie Amell last night at the Canadian Premiere of The DUFF, Chasing Life star Italia Ricci, talks to the Xtra Mile on her challenges and if she ever gets competitive with Robbie.

1. In Chasing Life, you play cancer patient April Carver. Would you say it`s more challenging than other roles you’ve played in the past?
Absolutely. The hardest part is still and always has been coming home at night and feeling guilty that I don’t have cancer and recognizing so many people really do live this. I mean I’m doing it as much as I can to advocate for the cause, but in the moment there’s nothing I can do to help.

2. Being Canadian, and Robbie as well, is there any competition between you two? Any challenges?
I mean we’re pretty competitive with one another , just like in the form of who’s right and who’s wrong because I’m almost never right. But we’re very lucky both our careers are both sort of moving parallel with each other. So there’s no resentment, or jealousy. We get to be so excited for one another and just so proud of each other, so it’s perfect.

3. How do you go the Xtra Mile?
I feel like , this sort of social charity work I do. This side that’s bringing awareness to the real people dealing with what Chasing Life is dealing with is something I’m proud of.
