#INTERVIEW Francesco Yates talks MMVAs

19 year old singer-songwriter Francesco Yates has already won the likes of Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams. The Toronto native is currently signed with Atlantic Records and is currently working on his debut album with Pharrell Williams and Robin Hannibal.  We chatted with the talented singer prior to his first appearance at the 2015 MMVAs. So you’re here for your first ever MMVAs! How do you feel and who are you most excited to see?I’m most excited to see the whole me Nick Jonas there. He’s gonna bring the funk I feel.

You have your single “Better to be loved”  What else is next for you?
Well there’s a little special something coming August 21, but I can’t disclose to much. The mystery makes history.

What’s most important you when it comes to a performance? The Music, lyrics, or performance?
It’s a combination of all three. It’s a full picture, like a full painting. The stencil isn’t the most important. It all comes together in a marriage. The marriage is the most important.

How do you go The Xtra Mile?
You just be bold about it. Just do it. Make like Nike and Just do It.

Any last words for your fans?
I’m coming. We’re bringing the curl back folks. It’s coming!
