iHeartRadio Fest 2017 ft. Big Sean, James Arthur, Scott Helman + Many More
On April 21st iHeartRadio and Canadian Music week teamed up for their 2nd annual iHeartRadio Fest at Rebel. This year’s lineup included Michelle Treacy, Alyssa Reid, Scott Helman, Massari, James Arthur, Magic!, and Big Sean. With a stacked lineup like this, you would have been sure to enjoy yourself no matter what kind of music you like.
First up was Michelle Treacy, having only heard of her very recently I was curious to see how she would be live. Throughout her performance, Michelle had incredible stage performance and delivered a short but very enjoyable set. Michelle played a three of songs “Armageddon”, “I’ve Got You All Over Me” and her newest single “Colours”.
Up next was Alyssa Reid, every time I have seen her in the past her sets have always been a lot of fun, this set was no exception. Playing songs like “Roller Coaster”, “Satisfaction Guaranteed” and “Alone Again” got the audience singing and dancing along.
Scott Helman is someone I have seen a number of times and every time I see him and his band perform I always have a good time. Scott played a mixture of both new and old songs including “Machine”,”Kinda Complicated”, and Hit song “Bungalow”.
Directly after Scott Helman was Massari. Massari is someone who has a number of songs that are very catchy. He Also had us dancing to all his hit songs like “So Long”. “Done Da Da” and “Real Love”
Now the next performer was the one performer I just HAD to see. After Winning the XFactor in 2012 he became famous. With guitar in hand, James Arthur walked on stage and instantly stole my heart. From his very first song to his very last had me wanting more. James played acoustic renditions of “Recovery”, “Impossible”, “Can I Be Him”, “Say You Won’t Let Go” and even did a cover of “Into You” by Arianna Grande. Overall I am so glad I had the chance to see his first ever Canadian performance.
The final act of the night was one that mostly everyone was waiting for, Big Sean! As soon as he walked out on stage he took command of the crowd. Before his performance, I never realized just home many songs Big Sean has/ has been featured in. “Clique”, “Bounce Back”, “Dance (A$$) Remix” and “I Don’t Fuck With You”. Song after song there was no sign of slowing down. Big Sean put on an amazing show that ended iHeartRadio Fest with a bang!
