#CanadianScreenWeek Television & Digital Media Gala night 1
The 2016 Canadian Screen Week kicked off it’s busy week on Monday night with the nominee reception at The Ritz Carlton. Tonight, the non-televised broadcast of the Television & Digital Media Gala took place at The Westin Harbour Castle with host Seán Cullen. The academy gave out 50 awards recognizing the best in news & sports, documentary, lifestyle, reality & digital media.
We must say Seán Cullen did an outstanding job at keeping the audience smiling for a three hour ceremony. Cullen kept the comedic relief by making remarks about Jian Ghomesi and his renowned love for CBC’s Ian Hanomansing.
Some of the big winners of the night were CTV’s “The Amazing Race” and “The Marilyn Denis Show”.
