#CanadianMusicWeek Ten Second Epic and Lyon take over Adelaide Hall

On Thursday, May 8th, 2014, Adelaide Hall hosted Black Box’s 10 year anniversary party for the Canadian Music Week. Many amazing acts performed such as Seas, The Provincial Archive, Lyon, The Glorious Sons, Living With Lions, and Ten Second Epic.

We were able to catch Lyon’s set and she managed to keep the crowd hyped up while playing the violin and piano during her whole performance.  Lyon’s electronic-indie genre music captured the attention of many new fans listening to her for the first time. She played her hit single “Floating” which gave the audience a melodic feel of how she captured her feelings with her music. We interviewed Lyon a few days before her performance, which you can check out here. Lyon also covered Lorde’s hit single “Team” which you can check out the video performance below.

Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Ten Second Epic played their final show in Toronto and we were there capturing every moment of it. Being a band since 2002, lead singer, Andrew Usenik announced their official break up and last farewell tour back in February.

The band played an hour set of their hit singles such as Everyday, Old Habits Die hard, and Welcome to Wherever You Are. Die hard fans were singing along to every song and some fans teared up seeing the band play one last time. Usenik said his farewells and thank you’s to all the fans who have been with the band throughout the years. The band played various of large music festivals such as Warped Tour, Virgin Festival, Bamboozle, and Wake Stock.

Aside from all the tears and good bye’s, the band played an amazing performance keeping all the fans energized throughout the set. Check out their performance of Everyday below!
