Canada’s Walk of Fame announce 2015 Inductees
Each year Canada’s Walk of Fame recognizes Canadians who have excelled in their respective fields and inspire the next generations.The names of inductees are engraved on stars and embedded into the sidewalk on King Street and Simcoe Street in Toronto . To date, there have been 161 remarkable Canadians inducted to date. This year Canada’s Walk of Fame will return November 7 at the Sony Centre of Performing Arts.
Yesterday, Canada’s Walk of Fame announced seven addition names that will be joining Shawn Mendes in receiving his Allan Slaight honour, which is presented each year to a young Canadian making a positive impact in the music industry.
The inductees are hockey broadcasters Don Cherry and Ron MacLean, singer-songwriter Michael Buble, Olympic medallist Silken Laumann, Award-winning author Lawrence Hill, actor Lorne Greene, and actress Wendy Crewson who was actually on site for the announcement.
Jason Priestley will return as host of this year’s induction ceremony.
