Canada’s Walk of Fame 2015
This year at Canada’s Walk of Fame we were introduced to six new inductees at the Tribute Show on Saturday November 7th 2015. This year’s show was yet again hosted by the one and only, Jason Priestley and by the looks of it he seemed like he was right in his element. As of November 7th 2015 there have been 161 Canadians who have been inducted in recognition for: Music, Film/Television, Sports/Television, Cineplex Legends, Literary Arts, and Sports. This years list of inductees for the 2015 Walk of Fame are listed below:
Area of Recognition:
Cineplex Legends Inductee/Film & Television – Lorne Greene
Film/Television – Wendy Crewson
Literary Arts – Lawrence Hill
Music – Michael Bublé
Sports – Silken Laumann
Sports/Television – Don Cherry & Ron Maclean – Coach’s Corner
As the stars arrived at the red carpet located at the Sony Centre you could hear guests and fans screaming in excitement as they had the opportunity to meet and take a quick selfie with them. You could definitely point out the roar of screaming once this year Allan Slaight Honour Recipient, Shawn Mendes came out to greet his fans.
The auditorium was filled with a sense of Canadian pride and also many laughs and tears as the inductees went up to accept their awards. The crowd was especially pleased by performances by Johnny Reid from his upcoming album, What Love is All About and especially from Shawn Mendes singing his hit songs Life of the Party and Stitches.
The two-hour show will be set to air nationally on December 17th at 8:00 pm ET.
